Farside of Forever
Where will i go to find
new eyes to look at you now?
I just these have beautiful memories,
rare remnants of moments,
aching in their simplicity
and electric in their brilliance,
of singing aloud together
and making the fire of flesh
flow like running water.
Uncertain of how my legs
came dangling over this chasm
at the very moment our dusk was fading,
all there is for this time
and this solitary confinement,
is a voice tossed into the hollows
of a nearly forgotten world
that i am unable to tend alone.
Waiting until the far side of forever
for the echo that may never come.
About the Poem
