Woven Links

My observance of the world
spreads like oscillating wavelets
that nudge at all the edges
just to jostle adjoining faces
who squirm beneath the glare
of my observance of the world.

My connection to the world
makes the very bridge of being
that binds in the believing
all the seeming separation
that reveals a singularity
in my connection to the world.

My disturbance of the world
shapes the seen and unseen body
that reaches with its hands
to shake the shoulders of the waking
who open up their eyes
to my disturbance of the world.

About the Poem

This poem peeks inside the cause and effect linkage that may or may not exist in the relationship between observer and the world. One of the interesting metaphysical questions suggested by modern physics is that there is no external observer to anything. The observer disturbs the system.
